Investigation and pending class action alleging that Humana Medicare Advantage HMO and Caremax RX based upon patient complaints that the health care organization unfairly overcharged some cancer patients for life-saving chemotherapy.
Evidence indicates that some cancer patients are being unfairly charged for drugs that should be 100% covered. These chemotherapy drugs are supposed to be covered under Medicare Part B. The rule is that injectable drugs administered by a doctor are covered 100%. Humana, however, has incorrectly classified these life-saving drugs in the Medicare Part D category.
