Investigation Details
This is an investigation and potential class action lawsuit against Costco Wholesale Corporation (“Costco”).
Costco owns and operates retail wholesale stores throughout the United States.
This class action investigation centers around claims that Costco hourly employees are regularly forced to remain inside Costco warehouses at closing time, after clocking out, for approximately 15 minutes at the end of each shift, while management performs closing activities, such as removing jewelry from cases and emptying cash registers.
If these claims are accurate Costco may be violating state and federal wage and hour laws by failing to pay statutorily-mandated minimum wages as well as overtime wages to its non-exempt, hourly employees.
