Viking Industries, now owned by Pella Corporation, and Home Depot might have sold defective Viking 3000 Series windows and sliding doors as those windows and sliding doors are prone to leak and prematurely deteriorate.
This is an ongoing investigation and pending class action lawsuit against Viking Industries, Pella Corporation and Home Depot.
Viking Industries produced a line of windows and sliding doors called the Viking Series 3000. These were both vertical and horizontal windows also known as hung and fixed windows. In 1998, Pella Corporation purchased Viking Industries and allegedly has renamed the Viking Series 3000 windows "Thermstar".
Consumers purchased the Viking Series 3000 windows with a "lifetime warranty". Despite this lifetime warranty. consumer reports indicate that the Viking Series 3000 windows are prone to leak and cause expensive water damage to consumers' homes. Pella refuses to honor the warranty and replace or repair the Viking Series 3000 windows.
Home Depot has allegedly sold over 500,000 of the Viking Series 3000 windows.
The goal of this class action lawsuit is to require Viking Industries, Pella Corporation and Home Depot to live up to the warranty and repair or replace these defective Viking 3000 windows.
