Investigation Details
UBS Financial Services had what it called the InsightOne brokerage account program. UBS promised personalized advice and other financial planning services for a higher fee for those clients that switched from a traditional brokerage account to an InsightOne brokerage account. UBS, allegedly, charged clients tens of millions of dollars for the InsightOne program yet did not provide the services it had promised. The office of New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer filed suit against UBS Financial Services, Inc. charging it defrauded thousands of customers through its InsightOne brokerage program. This investigation involves the exact same UBS conduct that led to the Attorney General investigation and seeks to recover from UBS and return to its clients those ill-gotten InsightOne fees.
