Investigation and pending class action against Bausch & Lomb in connection with the injuries to consumers' eyes when using Bausch & Lomb's "Renu with MoistureLoc" contact lense cleaning solution.
Bausch & Lomb's "Renu with MoistureLoc" is alleged to cause Fusarium Keratitis, cornea scarring or blindness. Bausch & Lomb allegedly continued shipping Renue with MoistureLoc after warnings from the FDA. Fusarium keratitis symptoms include eye pain; hypersensitivity to light, and/or temporary or even permanent blindness. Treatment includes anti-fungal medications, sometimes surgery to remove ulcers and corneal scars, and, in extreme cases, corneal transplants.
