Investigation and pending class action against Sony on behalf of consumers throughout the United States who have purchased Sony GRX, GRV, GRZ or other series Vaio Laptops ("Vaio Laptops").
The class action lawsuit alleges that the Vaio Laptops contain an inherent design defect that causes the Vaio Laptops to fail at an abnormally high rate and be unusable in the manner for which they are advertised, marketed and sold. The class action lawsuit further alleges that Sony knew, prior to marketing and selling the Vaio Laptops, that they were inherently defective and were likely to require expensive repairs during their useful life.
As a result of the alleged defect, the Vaio Laptops suffer from a "no boot" or "memory does not recognize" error, which ultimately result in consumers being unable to use the Vaio Laptops.
