Investigation and potential class action against Simplicity Inc based upon the recent recall of one million cribs manufactured by Simplicity Inc.
The drop-side can detach from the crib, creating a gap in which infants can become entrapped, potentially leading to suffocation. Infants have suffocated and died in the recalled Simplicity cribs. The first reported infant death related to the defective cribs was back in April of 2005.
Simplicity's crib recall includes approximately one million cribs that were sold for $100-$300, including the following brands: Crib Drop Side Aspen 3 in 1; Crib Drop Side Aspen 4 in 1; Crib Drop Side Nursery in a Box; Crib Drop Side Crib N Changer Combo; Crib Drop Side Pooh 4 in 1; Crib Drop Side Chelsea; Graco Aspen 3 in 1; Graco Ultra 3 in 1; Graco Ultra 4 in 1; Graco Ultra 5 in 1; Graco Trio; Graco Whitney; Nursery in a Box furniture set; Lancaster Crib; Aspen 3 in 1 Crib with wooden mattress support.
