Investigation and pending class action lawsuit alleging that the nation's primary manufacturers of aftermarket oil, air and transmission filters violated the antitrust laws by fixing prices, rigging bids and/or allocating customers.
The named defendants in this class action lawsuit are: Champion Laboratories, United Components, The Carlyle Group, Purolator Filters, Bosch U.S.A., Mann+Hummel, Arvinmeritor, Honeywell International, Wix Filtration Products, Affinia Group, Cummins Filtration, Cummins, The Donaldson Company, Baldwin Filters, Hastings Premium Filters, and Clarcor.
This class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of purchasers of aftermarket oil, air, fuel and transmission filters nationwide . The filters aftermarket is comprised of retailers, distributors, heavy-duty vehicle owners and manufacturer service facilities.
Defendants' price fixing has allegedly caused their customers to pay supracompetitive prices for their filter purchases.
