This is an on going investigation against Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America which has led to the filing of related lawsuits by numerous consumers who allege they were misled by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America. In this litigation, we allege that the agents of the insurance company engaged in misleading sales practices to induce persons age 65 or older to purchase deferred annuities. These deferred annuities have very little benefit to consumers over 65, but do pay a wonderfully large premium to the agent selling the annuity.
